“ Show you care! Shave your hair! 

(inspired by Clap for Carers)

“Show you care! Shave your hair! " Is a fund raising idea we are  organising to raise additional funds and show our support and appreciation for all of our NHS staff and families. 

The event was launched along side the weekly “Clap For Carers” on THURSDAY 23rd April 2020 at 20:05 BST and was recorded on the  livestream Facebook group. It achieved its fund-raising target plus! 

We are now hoping that it will run along the same idea as the “Ice Bucket challenge”. You and your family/friends perform a LIVE shave (record and post before/after pictures/short video clip on our "Show you Care, Shave your Hair" Facebook group).

During lockdown, EVERYONE is shaving, cutting or having to do something with the hair on their body; chest, beards, hair, arm pits, moustaches, legs, backs etc so why not extend this to reach out to everyone and keep it going? We can ALL take part and show our appreciation in this way; from the smallest donation to whatever! Donations on JustGiving.com/showyoucareshaveyourhair. 

We know that there are many people out there shaving their hair etc but “Show you care, Shave your hair ’ is specifically aiming to run this alongside "Clap for Carers" and continue the momentum by having a little fun and co-ordinated fundraising for the NHS! 

Every time you SHAVE, then DONATE followed by NOMINATE!

We hope that this small act of “Show you care, Shave your hair, ' will  not only unite the country positively and show the level of care felt towards NHS staff whilst they are going into work in these challenging and unprecedented times. 

The idea was born from Jo  Kaplan who  owes her life to the NHS   and who's prime aim  is to now  'Pay Forward' for all the care her and her family received during her illnesses.
