Story
Friday 9th December is Christmas Jumper Day and this year our CSR committee have chosen to support Sussex Cancer Fund. This charity works with the NHS to create new and improved facilities providing the best possible cancer care for Sussex.
Please wear a Christmas jumper to work on Friday and make a donation of your choice if you can!
About Sussex Cancer Fund
Over the years we have carried out a number of refurbishment projects including reception areas & chemotherapy waiting rooms, through to quiet rooms & ward upgrades. One of our biggest building projects was the collaboration to build the Horizon Centre. We also pay for larger items of equipment, like scanners & chemotherapy chairs, blood pressure monitors, & much more. We provide additional services to make patient treatment a little more comfortable. Things like nice tea & coffee for patients, through to up-to-date magazines, medical acupuncture to help relieve chemotherapy symptoms & the much-relied-upon patient car park to name but a few...We regularly fund research projects, including blood, brain, anal, breast & bladder cancers as well as advanced radiography techniques & Remote Outcomes Monitoring to improve patient care. In addition to funding research projects we also contribute towards research equipment.
