Fundraising for Mustard Tree
Fundraising for Mustard Tree
On May 11 2018, Shoosmiths' Manchester colleagues will be taking on the Urban Obstacle Challenge for a very worthy and relevant cause - to raise money for Mustard Tree!
Manchester is one of the key economic centres of the North, yet poverty levels remain a critical issue, with 600,000 people living in poverty, 91,000 of these being children.
Mustard Tree tackles homelessness and poverty within Greater Manchester, with a mission to transform the lives of those trapped in poverty or homelessness, by enabling them to gain the skills and self-confidence to reach their full potential
With belief in a Greater Manchester where everyone has the opportunity to be a connected, valued and contributing member of society, the charity offers:
Provision-food, clothing and furniture, meeting basic needs in this way establishes trust and opens to the door of hope and possibly.
Progression-life skills, training, volunteering, education, mentoring and employment opportunities to aid individuals to increase their resilience and enable them to escape homelessness and poverty for good.
We are looking to raise £10,000 for the charity, this target would allow Mustard Tree to run their Food Club for a year-providing 19,765 meals for 4,940 people!
Every little really does help, with just one £10 donation supporting an individual suffering from a mental health condition for two weeks!
Thank you for reading and for your generosity!
