Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Alzheimer’s is a heart-breaking disease, that will effect 1 in 6 of us.

My family has been directly effected with this heart breaking disease.  My mother was diagnosed at 59 and is in year 3 of her diagnosis.  My grandfather died earlier this year after suffering with the disorder for 7 years, the last 3 of which he spent in care.

I was unable to make his funeral in New Zealand and felt awful that I couldn't say my last good byes.  I am walking this marathon in memory of my Grandfather, and for mother.  The money raised through sponsorship is vital for the Alzheimer’s society to continue the research - with the hope that one day they find a cure.

Please, please donate.  My poor legs have been covering some miles, and they need all the support they can get!!
