Story
I have entered the SuperHero Triathlon at Dorney Lake as a personal challenge to aid my rehabilitation following a below knee amputation last year. In February, I ran for the first time since injury 7 years ago, and first got back on a bike in April so completing all 3 stages of the triathlon will be a big achievement for me.
In undertaking this challenge, I am also fundraising for the Armed Forces Para-Snowsport Team (AFPST), a charity which has supported me greatly over the past few years. They exist to support the recovery of wounded, injured and sick military personnel and veterans through participation in competitive snowsports. AFPST aims to foster a sense of purpose, promote success and rebuild self-confidence, thus improving both physical and mental health. In raising money for AFPST, I hope they will be able to continue to offer such support and opportunities to others, demonstrating their mission to break boundaries and show how courage and determination can achieve great things.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page - your donation is hugely appreciated both by me and all of AFPST.
