Story

Assalaamualaikum

May you receive this message in the best of health inshallah.

On 3rd May 2021, we lost our beloved father, Saeed Ahmed Malik,  as he returned to his Lord in this blessed month of Ramadan.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon

I don’t know where to start when speaking about my dad, my heart aches as I type this. He was one of a kind. I know everybody who knew him would agree he had the biggest heart.

I never once saw him turn down or say no to anyone, whether it was a friend in need or someone on the street. In fact I vividly remember a group of children, specifically running up to his car in the streets of Jhelum every day, because they knew this man never turns them away.

He was kind, caring, had the best sense of humour, and he always always always helped others, even if it meant struggling himself.

In remembrance of my dear papa, I want to raise money for Ummah Welfare Trust. They have a 100% donations policy and they have been doing amazing work around the world to help those in need. This includes:

- building water wells, hand pumps, filtration plants

- providing financial assistance to orphans and widowers in Syria, Yemen, Palestine and more.

- responding to covid-19 by providing hygiene kits and PPE

- making iftaar packs in Ramadan and feeding the hungry throughout the year.

- renovating/building mosques

- and much more. You can access their project reports on their website to find out more about the incredible work that they do.

Please please please can I ask you to donate whatever you can for our dad, so that it can become a form of sadaqah jariyah for him. May Allah swt grant my pyaare se papa the highest ranks in Jannah, and may Allah swt reward you for your efforts, ameen. ❤️

Allah continues fulfilling the needs of a person as long as he is engaged in fulfilling the needs of his brother”

“Whoever saves one life, it is as if he has saved all of mankind” [5:32]

“When a man passes away, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity (sadaqah Jariyah), knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him” [sahih Muslim]
