Story
I'm joining Cancer Research's Plymouth Race for Life again this year, it is a charity that is very important to me. Cancer will probably touch us all in some way during our lifetime and I want to help make a difference.
Up until November 2014 I was classed as a 'cancer survivor' having been treated for Breast Cancer in 2004. Between January 2015-April 2015 I became a 'cancer fighter' - undergoing chemo, having finished it I then got on with my life just like thousands of others who enjoy life but live with the disease. This is possible through money raised by ordinary people like you and me. The money ensures research can continue to improve treatments for those fighting cancer, which means more people than ever survive this horrible disease and more people than ever can live with cancer.
I have just started another course of chemo, so this years Race for Life will be a bit more of a challenge for me, as I will still be receiving treatment when I complete it.
Luckily I have the support of a great bunch of family and friends otherwise known as The Ladies who Stroll, who I'm sure will carry me around the course if they have to!! We are a group of ladies with one aim - We want to kick cancers ass by raising as much money we can!!
Please join the fight by digging deep and sponsoring me - it's quick, easy and totally secure.
Events like this are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me, we can unite and create an army that cancer can't ignore. By sponsoring me, we will beat cancer sooner.
Don't forget to add Gift Aid
