Story

Hello and Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Here I go again......I'm participating in a 100K "Trek Italy" for St Andrew's Hospice

This is the 2nd Trek I have participated in for St Andrews' Hospice, I previously walked from Portugal to Spain 100K and raised £2400.

St Andrews Hospice is a local Charity close to my heart.  My father works for the charity  which provides specialist palliative care services - the total care of patients with progressive disease and limited prognosis.

The annual running costs of running the Hospice are approximately £4.2million of which nearly £2.2million has to be raised each year from public donations, this is approximately £44,000 per week.

Thanks to the generosity and assistance of the people of Lanarkshire, Hospice staff now cares for over 120 patients each week in the Hospice with other services reaching more patients and their families across Lanarkshire.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

All donations are greatly appreciated!
