Story

Singleton SCBU is intensive care the babies across South West Wales. What they do saves the lives of babies born too soon, too small and too sick. Our daughter is currently there and doing great - she was born 13 weeks early and very very sick, but thanks to SCBU staff she's now a normal, albeit 4lb, little girl. And she is not alone, there's a constant stream of tiny people fighting for their lives here. One unseen element is that mums need to pump breast milk, as it radically improves babies' outcomes - difficult enough normally, much harder when the baby is so premature, and not helped by the fact that a lack of funding means there aren't enough specialist premature breast pumps to go around. £1600 buys one pump, and helps dozens of mums do everything they can for their babies. Dig deep.
