Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

In 2017 our Grandfather was diagnosed with Cancer, in December he deteriorated rapidly and was unable to stay at home. Sadly he lost his battle to Cancer on Tuesday 2nd January 2018.

Our Grandfather spent only four days in the Canterbury Hospice and within those four days the staff in the hospice made a huge impression on me and my family the love and care the staff/volunteers gave to our Grandfather and family during this difficult time is beyond words.

As we sat waiting for the inventible, I decided I wanted to give something back so while sitting next to my Grandad I signed up for Dan and I to take part in the fire walk this involves a barefoot walk over red-hot wood embers measuring around 800 degrees! Not only will we conquer the most primal of fears, but we will raise vital funds for Canterbury Hospices too. With every single step, we will be making an incredible difference to patients and their families, who will benefit from the fantastic care and support Canterbury Hospice provide.

Any donations will be greatly received. Regardless of how big or small Canterbury Hospice will welcome them all.
