On 22 April 2012, I'm running the 26.2 miles in my first ever London marathon!! Along with this I'm raising as much money as I can for Butterwick Hospice Care.

Butterwick is based in Northeast Englad and has three hospices. It provides specialist care to children and adults with life-limiting illnesses. Their aim is to improve the quality of life for their patients and families and to help them relate positively to every challenge they may encounter during their illness. Butterwick Hospice cares for up to 200 patients and their loved ones a day and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with their services provided completely free of charge.

This marathon will be a huge major personal achievement! - Having only started running recently I've definitely developed the running bug! I've unexpectedly decided to do this because of the opportunity from Mike Gill and his sister, Mandy Shields (Thanks!)
