Story
Four Pitmedden ladies are walking the 96 mile West Highland Way and then having a wee stroll to the top of Ben Nevis over the course of six days to raise money in Summer Carr's name, a very special (and cute) peerie lass.
Summer Carr was born in May 2015, with her family unsure as to how she would grow and develop. But this beautiful and courageous little girl has shown everyone what she's made of - tough stuff!
She has undergone three operations so far, with more to come, and is receiving frequent treatment at the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital. As Shetland residents the accommodation at the hospital has been vital to her family, and the Archie Foundation has and will continue to support Summers treatment.
The four walkers are her Auntie, Angie Stemp and three friends, Michelle Baguley, Alison Burgess and Nicola Clark. The walk starts on the 8th of August.
