I am taking the challenge of 50K steps your way during October to support Hope and Homes for children charity in their mission of giving unfortunate orphan children, loving families and better lives. 

Orphanages are not the best environment to protect, nurture or love children. There are 8 millions children across the world confined to loveless orphanages. Over 80% of them actually have some living extended family members. It does not have to be this way. 

Hope and Homes for children is working alongside governments and civil society organizations in over 30 countries to dismantle orphanage based care systems

Every £43 fundraised could help cover the cost of tracing the birth families of a child currently confined to orphanages; the first step in reuniting these children with the people who love them.
