Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving fundraising page.

I'm on the run  again but this time it's for money and for a charity that is so close to my heart. On Sunday 13th July I will be running the British 10k  thorough central London for the sickle cell society.

Sickle cell disorder is a condition that affects my little boy Jacob. This is a blood disorder with no known cure. Sufferers experience severe, pain during a  crisis and are often hospitalised. Sadly, the condition can be fatal .  However, we remain positive and committed to raise awareness  to better the lives of sufferers and to help fund further research.

I am donating the proceeds of my run to the sickle Cell society who give support and guidance  to all sufferers and their families. They helped dry my tears so many times and have helped me to be strong and think about the bright future that Jay will have.

This is our major fundraising event for the year as we never get charity places in the London marathon as it is dominated by the larger charities.

Any donation you can spare will be greatly appreciated. I promise I will do you proud and at least finish!!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.  Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
