Story

Recently, as many of you know my sister in law Nicola saunders passed away at the very young age of 25. Leaving behind her two beautiful children Leah and Chrissy, loving partner chris and a family who will truly miss her after battling her short fight with cancer.

Nicola and us as a family only had a very short time to digest what was happening. It was a month of very mixed emotions, obviously it was heart breaking to hear that she had infact got cancer but being told that she could have kemo to keep her here as long as possible was comforting. unfortuantley it all happened far to quickly for anything or anyone to help her. It was a month from being diagnosed with this wicked illness that unfortunatley she was taken into the Hospice of St francis' care. Once we had arrived the caring and compassionate nurses jumped straight in and made sure that Nicola was comfortable and had everything she could possibly want. Not only did they just look after Nic but they had our whole family there day and night. They fed us gave us beds and comforted and supported us all. Not only do they just care for us whilst we were there but they have also offered us all support for now and the future.  I really cant stress to you enough how amazing this place is. They have given me my last memories of Nic being herself because of the level of care that they gave.
