ROVOP's nominated charity for 1 July 2022 - 30 June 2023, chosen by the staff, is Friends of Anchor.

The ANCHOR Unit is a collective of specialised wards and clinics within Aberdeen Royal Infirmary - the central hub of cancer and haematology care for the North-east of Scotland.  Every penny of every pound donated to Friends of ANCHOR goes to the cause because our operating costs are fully covered by Aberdeen company Balmoral Group - as they have been since the charity was founded.

We will participate in numerous activities throughout the year to raise as much money as possible for this local charity. All funds raised will go towards The ANCHORED Together appeal – a pledge to raise £2m to Deliver the Difference for The ANCHOR Centre, which is set to open late next year.  It is estimated that it will be used by 250 patients every day.
