Story
In 2014 we as a family were presented with the news we’d dreaded- Dad had been diagnosed with gene-related MND at the age of 63-his death sentence had now been confirmed. 3 years tops........His Mother (our NaN) had died from this previously so we knew what to expect. It took its toll on us all as a family after Dads passing and we all found our own way of coping with our terrible loss. Surprisingly to me I personally found running as my medication as did my younger sister Kerrie and now nearly 2 years on from our first run we are to to participate in our first half marathon -something we never ever thought we would be doing all that time ago! If ever we were going to raise money it was only ever to be for this 💙 for him. As I write our Uncle Tony (Dads brother) is fighting the Dementia form of this debilitating disease. He,as Dad did, continues to show incredible strength and courage throughout and we are continually proud !
It is our aim to ,(in our lifetime ) provide funds to help in finding the Science that is required to diminish the gene we may or may not carry.......
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts in advance for whatever you can spare to help us in our fight .Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
