Story
Please consider donating today to help this incredible organization achieve their annual goal! The YMCA has been a part of myself and my husband Joseph's lives on and off throughout the years. Both of our kids learned how to swim at the Y in Brooklyn, NY. We cannot begin to express though, how impactful the Peter Blum YMCA of Boca Raton Special Needs program, Chase's Place, has been. As most of you know, our eldest son Asher has non-verbal Autism and just started High School this year. We moved from Miami to Boca Raton in June and were very nervous about what the transition would look like for him. We were extremely fortunate that Asher was able to attend the Y special needs summer camp program shortly after our move. Asher had an amazing summer and has been growing in leaps and bounds since. He now attends their afterschool program daily. The staff is incredibly kind, loving, and knowledgeable. As well as social and emotional growth they also encourage physical fitness, healthy living, and they're actively adding programs to promote independence and vocational experiences. Asher attends their teen lab where he is and making friends and plays video games with neurotypical peers. He also does teen spin class on Mondays.
With your donation, we can help other children and families in need get opportunities to grow and thrive as well. Every dollar you give stays local and 100% goes to the cause.
