Last Christmas I rashly asked for an entry for the 2019  Great South Run as a present. Throughout this year, I have been practising/training for the 10 miles/16 km event and am now looking forward to the big day.

Many of you will know that several members of my immediate family have macular disease so the work of the Macular Society is very close to my heart.

I hope that you will support my Just Giving page to help me raise funds for the Macular Society, which not only helps sufferers and their families but also carries out research to try and find a cure for this condition which is the biggest cause of sight loss in the UK.
