Story

Hi everyone - thanks for taking the time to visit my "JustGiving" page.

As most of you know I joined the local gym a short time ago and have spent many months verging on a couple of years powering the treadmill and every other machine in there and for what....?  Well now I know!!  A friend suggested putting this hard work at the gym to good effect and suggested I join the "Ignis Asset Management Womans10k on Sunday 8th May 2011".

Well of course I laughed out loud - just like most of you are now however I thought Why not?  So I enroled.

It was then it ocurred to me that I could raise some money for a charity that is very important to me.  It will be 9 years this June since my big brother, Colin passed away - only 37 years old, from an inoperable cancer.  His last few months were spent under the care of those in the PPWH.  Their love and support towards him and my family will be etched in my mind forever.  Now is my chance to support the hospice in return.

And so, enter my first 10K.  I am not promising to run or jog for that matter indeed even just the walk will propbably require some Oxygen at some point but hey I'll have fun doing it - and it may not be my last!!!

We all have our favourite charities to support and at time when we are all tightening our belts it is difficult to find that spare penny....however if you are able to sponsor me then I would be very pleased and of course you would be helping the PPWH.

Its really easy to donate - donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

If you are looking for me on "Facebook" you wont find me - look under my hubbys name - David Oakes - he'll post pictures of the event and no doubt some of me which I won't thank him for!!

So please dig deep and donate now, help me to help those who help others.

Thank you very much.

Love, Sheila xx
