Story
Hi everyone!
About one year ago, I began my journey towards becoming a physician. In that time, I have been drawn towards a specialty in pediatric surgery. With this goal in mind, I have decided to run the New York City Marathon in support of the Children's Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM)!
CHAM is the only hospital in the Bronx exclusively dedicated to meeting the healthcare needs of children. Since opening in 2001, CHAM’s goal has been to provide children with the best opportunity to lead active and healthy lives and realize their full potential.
CHAM actually holds a special place in my heart because my medical journey began long before medical school. When I was born, I spent some time in a NICU before heading home with my family. Every time I visit the little guys and gals on the NICU at CHAM, I hope that these babies can also go on to achieve their dreams (and maybe become fellow future doctors)!
I will be running on November 7th in support of the children that I one day hope to treat. If you are able, please consider donating to this worthy organization!
