Seva.  This is a Sanskrit word which captures the spirit of selfless service.  I had the blessing of growing up immersed in this important value which led me to become a physician and dedicate my life to helping patients and their families.  For me, the Timmerman Traverse for Life Science Cares exemplifies the essence of seva.  Serving our communities while bringing out the best in each other and becoming better people in the process.  I am honored to be part of this great effort.  Please join me and my fellow hikers in making a difference and supporting Life Science Cares.
