To the lovely people of my community and beyond- I want your money!

 

I am fund-raising for Ebrahim College (as a student of the College) to help the institution raise substantial funds to expand their premises in order to cater for the educational needs of the Muslim community and beyond. The plan is to build a university-style institution- first of its kind in the UK! I am setting myself a target of £1k and would be extremely grateful if you could donate a certain amount- however small or big- this will be much appreciated!

Here is what you need to know about Ebrahim College:

 

Ebrahim College is an institute based in the heart of London. The College's vision is to have a world educated in how best to serve Allah and His creation. They are educationalists that specialise in the teaching of the Alimiyyah programme and they hope to work towards this by propagating sacred knowledge and educating the next generation of ulama that will serve the Muslim community both locally and globally.

Since it's inception in 2003, Ebrahim College has made pioneering improvements and left lasting legacies in the communities.  The College has had thousands of students pass through their doors that are now enriched with sacred knowledge. They have had their first cohort of students complete the Alim course. These ulama are now serving the community and are striving to uplift the standard and spirituality of Muslims in the UK.

 

ACTIVITIES

 

The College believes that learning, especially sacred learning, is a lifelong process and has set-up a system that provides learning from as young as six to adults of all ages and backgrounds:

 

Rashidun: Weekend Islamic school for 6-16 year old pupils.

 

Ebrahim Academy: A full time Islamic secondary school offering tahfeez(memorization of the holy Qur’an) alongside the National Curriculum.

 

Ebrahim College: An Islamic college dedicated to teaching Islam and the Islamic sciences through the following programmes:

 

• The Arabic Intensive Programme (learn Arabic in one year)

 

• The Alimiyyah Programme (an undergraduate course in shari’ah and theology)

 

• A-levels for school leavers

 

• Part-time & flexible learning for adults

 

DEVELOPMENT

 

In line with their vision, the College wishes to increase their activities and serve a larger number of people from the Muslim Community with state of the art facilities in an environment that is conducive to better learning. With this in mind the College has pulled together a development plan comprised of three phases:

 

Phase I: Purchase of Building – £2m Required

 

Phase II: Rebuild – £4m Required

 

Phase III: Endowment – £2m Required

 

The College is now appealing to the Muslim Community to come forward and invest in the development of the ummah. In phase 1 they aim to purchase the current college building.

 

The Square ft. Sale: Your Deed for Jannah

 

This is a golden opportunity to invest in the Muslim ummah and your own akhira (hereafter) at the same time. The land footprint that the College is purchasing is 3,300sq ft. They are requesting that you buy 1sq ft. for £1,000 and donate it to Ebrahim College and our future generations. As long as our mission is alive, Islamic educational activities will take place on this land and you will continue to earn the reward of sadaqah jariyah until akhirah insha’Allah.
