We (Laura, Will and Alison) are taking part in a skydive to raise money for Support Dogs.
Support Dogs is celebrating 25 years of bringing safety, independence and improved quality of life to children, adults and families affected by some of the most challenging medical conditions.
Since its beginnings in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, the charity has gone on to train and care for support dog partnerships across England, Wales and Scotland. It has led pioneering work for training assistance dogs for children affected by autism and is a world leader in its seizure alert programme for those affected by epilepsy.
However, as the charity has grown, so has the demand for its services. For the past 12 months, the charity has faced an unprecedented increase in people contacting for help.
Support Dogs received over 4,000 requests for help, equal to ten calls a day from a family or individual affected by autism, epilepsy or a physical disability.
Support Dogs rely entirely on voluntary donations, so any funds you can donate to our skydive would be hugely valuable to their work.
Over the years, Sheffield Mutual have been a proud sponsor of Support Dogs and we have both seen first-hand the amazing work they do.
It costs around £20,000 to provide and train a support dog, so any donation big or small would be greatly appreciated.
