Story
Sheffield Medics Netball Club is a group of over 70 girls from the University of Sheffield, who are all united by their love of netball and each other! Every year we choose a charity to fundraise for, and this year we have chosen the wonderful Cavendish Cancer Care. After brainstorming ideas on how to fundraise in the current socially distanced situation, we decided to tackle the target of running, cycling, walking (anyway we like!) 100,000 netball courts over July! We would really appreciate any donations that you are able to give, no matter how big or small, to support this wonderful cause!
After completing 100,00 courts on the 16th of July, we have decided to up the target to 200,000 courts by the end of the month! We are currently on 136,655, so any donations would be much appreciated to give us that final push!
Cavendish Cancer Care is a Sheffield charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for those living with cancer and their loved ones. Last year, they supported over 1,900 people affected by cancer, including carers and children. They offer free-of-charge packages of therapy and support, tailored to each individual's specific needs. But Cavendish only receives enough statutory funding to keep their doors open for about two weeks each year, meaning they rely on the generosity of the public to keep running. Put simply - they need your help.
