Story
This month Sheffield Dance Society are supporting 'The Snowdrop Project' to raise awareness and money for their efforts in supporting victims of human trafficking. We will be running events throughout the month of February and want our members to understand how important our relationship with Snowdrop is.
Snowdrop supports survivors of human trafficking and long term support is required for these individuals. However, the government only provide so much help. Therefore, by raising money Snowdrop put on so many lovely events for those they support. They offer befriending services in order to empower such individuals to move forward with their lives.
In previous years, we have been able to support the survivors with weekly dance classes. However, this has been stopped due to COVID. On a positive note, have managed to still put together some online dance classes thanks to our Volunteering Secretary Corey. We would usually run raffles and events for Snowdrop throughout the year too. So, let's not let that slide. We can still support them now more than ever. Most of us have a little extra money put aside now, so use it for something good.
Lockdown has been difficult on many charities. Fundraising has been down and they have not been able to support people to the extent they have done previously. Please help us to raise money this month! Any small donation will be appreciated!
