Story
This summer, my cousin Rishi Makwana who is an amazing, fabulous and a well loved man, suffered two brain haemmorhages. Needless to say, it was a very difficult time for him and his family. When I visited him at the hospital, I was shocked by what had happened to him and how serious it was and could have been.. But i was more shocked and amazed by his sheer determination and courage to not let what happened to him beat him down. Rishi worked incredibly hard and is continuing to do to get back on track! He is now driving again and practicing to speak in three languages to get his speech back. How bloody brilliant is that?? I felt so helpless when I saw him however, and I wanted to help him and thousands others who have gone and are going through this. So I have vowed to run (YES! run, not walk) the London 10k for the Brain and Spine Foundation on 13th July 2014. They are simply brilliant at what they do and support lots of people who have gone through similar experiences as Rishi. Those who know me know I am terrible runner.. this is my challenge for 2014 and I would be so grateful if you could all donate however much you can spare and spread the word about this fantastic charity. Please please please help make a difference today! We all appreciate it!! xxx
Cheers
