Well hallooo thereee everyone!
Welcome welcome :) As you can see, I will be attempting to walk up Mount Snowdon In North Wales on August 1st 2009 with a lovely bunch of girls for the 'WATER - The Source of Life' scheme run by Islamic Relief. The money raised will go to building wells in Africa so those less fortunate don't have to walk miles and miles for clean and safe water.
Some of us don't realise how lucky we are - we take for granted the water we drink, the water we bathe in, the water we use for our food.
"Around 80% of all sickness and disease in the world is caused by inadequate water or sanitation, according to the World Health Organisation. Water-related diseases account for 2.2 million deaths each year, mostly among children under the age of five."
Read it and believe it.
So I pray that WE, as in YOU and I, can do something about it. Donate to this cause and Inshallah we can help them to help themselves to the water we all need!
Donating through Justgiving is the most easiest way as it's all simple, totally secure and it goes straight to the charity so no worries about the middle man (if you're worried about me, shame on you!) If you are a taxpayer please 'Giftaid' your donation - the charity gets even more with no extra cost to yourself!
