Story

The last Saturday in September is the annual Walk of Hope.

It’s been a while since we’ve been able to help raise funds for Brain Tumour Research, thanks to the pandemic.

As Power of David (fundraising group 0932193) reps, we’ve decided to do a local 10km (or 11km as it works out to be) walk and make personal donations. I’ve been asked to create a JustGiving page as others would like to contribute, so here we are! If you’d like to donate to show your support, we’d love you for it!

Remember 10km feels a lot longer for Layla and Daniel who will also be taking part for the fifth year in a row. Please show them your support to keep their spirits and determination up.

Please give what you can to help make a difference for other brain tumour sufferers by funding research to enable real change and real hope.

As always, you can also take part by doing your own walk, big or small. I find it’s a great way to reflect and remember David. Walk by a river or alongside a canal, round a park or even up a mountain! Choose your own route, do it on your own or walk with family and friends, or get together with everyone in your community or at work and organise a bigger event.

Together we will find a cure.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
