Story
My mother, Elizabeth Todorov, expressed the need and passion to make a difference in the lives of others. Being a cancer patient herself, she understood the struggle brought on by medications, appointments, good and bad news, and medical bills. While she was going through treatment she noticed the fighting spirit of the kids and their willingness to live. Watching them gave her the strength and motivation to start her mission to help these patients and their families over the holidays.
Over the years the drive has supported the UMass Child Life Program with large wall murals, gaming consoles and wall mounts, and TV’s. These impressive items have been supported by the monetary donations received through your generosity. The toys we have collected have fully stocked the children’s play area and contributed to patients being able to open individual gifts during the holidays. Infant donations have been gratefully received and appreciated by the youngest UMass patients and their families.
On behalf of my mother, Liz, and everyone who has teamed up over the years to make the Elizabeth Todorov Toy Drive a success, we thank you for your kind gesture and holiday spirit! Witnessing first hand the joy this drive brings to the children, through this seemingly simple act of kindness, is a heartwarming experience. Together, we have brought the holiday spirit to those who need it most.
We hope you have a safe and enjoyable holiday season and again we thank you!
