We inform, support, advance in Scotland to tackle prostate cancer and disease

Story

The Shawlands Academy Staff 5's Friday Footie Team were growing tired of running up and down their large games hall, hyperventilating along the way, when one bright spark suggested, why grow tired when you can grow a moustache.

And hence the Movember Movement was brought in to play. Starting with freshly shaved smooth cheeks, each man in turn will attempt to grow his very own Top Lip Caterpillar. He may decide to go for the Fu Manchu or maybe the Handlebar. He may add a twist or perhaps a french plait. What ever he decides, he will have a month to grow his Hairy Lip Mat.

Attached are photos of the team, post shave 2nd November. Over the month we will update you with our progress and a final shot of the moustache we have each grown. For our efforts we would be delighted if you would donate to our chosen charity, Prostate Scotland. Nearly 1 in 2 men in Scotland will be affected by prostate disease at some stage of their lives and 1 in 13 will develop prostate cancer. Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men in Scotland and is close to being the most common cancer. Truly a worthy cause.

We hope enjoy watching our tache's grow as we enjoy combing them.

Yours gratefully
