Hello, and welcome to my story...

I let my hair dread up in the summer of 1999, and have kept it this way ever since. As I've been thinking of finally Getting a Haircut (I already have a Job, thanks!) and discussing this with a few friends, the suggestion was made that I should try to mark the event in a special way...by trying to raise some money to help other people out. A few charity suggestions were floated, but I decided to pick Oxfam to reeive my donations as they seem to have an effective program, a global reach, and a very low overhead in terms of administrative/fundraising costs. While I'm still on the fence a bit about the whole 'haircut' thing, if I can raise at least £1000 I'll be going through with it. I'm open to suggestions for creative ways to document the event :)
