Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm running the Yorkshire Marathon in memory of my wife, Rachel who was taken from us on 27 May 2011 aged only 44. Rachel's final few days were spent in the care of St Leonard's Hospice in York - they provided fantastic support for Rachel as we'll as me and our two children.

I hope to raise as much money as I can for St Leonard's Hospice.

This is my first ever marathon and I'm quite terrified by the prospect but if I can show only half of the fighting spirit that Rachel showed during her illness then I have every chance of completing the run.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
