On the 13th of July 2019 we will be taking part in the Macmillan     ' The Mighty Hike '. This is a 26 mile hike up and down the mountainous Lake District landscape, stunning views but mixed terrain underfoot.

We are also taking part in the 1000 mile challenge. This will be done over 12 months and works out at a mere 2.73 miles per day!. Sounds easy but this a 'boots on' challenge and the walks around the office everyday unfortunately do not count.

By doing these challenges we are hoping to raise lots of money for the Macmillan Charity to help them continue the wonderful work they do in supporting those suffering from cancer and their family and friends too. Sadly we have recently lost someone else to this dreadful disease and it seems you can't speak to anyone that doesn't know someone who is suffering. Macmillan improves the lives of those effected by providing practical, medical and emotional support to help them live their lives to the fullest possible. They also offer valuable courses/workshops and work with the government to shape policies so they get the best care for people. Cancer services in this country would be very different without Macmillan.

We love the outdoors and walking is what we do but this is going to be a big challenge for us so we will need your encouragement along the way. We will need to train long and hard for this....whatever the weather.
