A small group of us are going to run from Corringham to Basildon and back (about 15k round trip) dressed in full Christmas fancy dress on the 18th December 2021. We are a few friends that run together regularly and had the idea to run in Christmas costumes and try to raise money for a good cause at the same time.

We want to raise money for Barnardo's, and as any local people will now know we have a local Barnardo's at Corringham. We decided on this because Barnardo's does extraordinary work for children and young people. Barnardo's protect, support and nurture the UK's most vulnerable children.

Christmas is nearing and whilst many of you and your children will have happy times, the same cannot be said for many children. Any donations we can provide this awesome charity can make a huge difference and create a happier Christmas for disadvantaged children everywhere. Children do not choose their circumstances and they are the future, so lets help brighten the futures of those who suffer at the hands of abusers and neglecters.
