We fund long-term, sustainable research to find a cure for brain tumours

Story

In October 2014 I was diagnosed with a large  brain tumour on my frontal lobe. With a wife and two children aged 3 and 1 at the time this was utterly terrifying and devastating news for me and my family. Luckily through the expertise of the Neuro team at Southampton general hospital with mr Mathad my lead surgeon, the support from my family and my friends I have managed to make a great recovery with only minor permanent damage. None of this would of been possible without the work from Brain Tumour Research so please give anything you can. No amount is too small or too large. The money you donate will go a long way and could even help another person like me manage to fight their way through and be able to get back to a normal life with their family. It will also help to find ways of improving the quality of life for those that have come through a brain tumour but require further aftercare by developing new medicines and ways of managing brain tumours. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
