Campaign by The Salvation Army (RCN 214779 and in Scotland SC009359)
The Salvation Army provides specialist support to protect and care for all adult survivors of modern slavery in England and Wales.

Story

In 2021 the Salvation Army distributed food and presents to more than 118,000 struggling families at Christmas. They provided over 3,000 beds every night, in over 75 LifeHouse's for people experiencing homelessness. They supported over 2,500 survivors of modern-day slavery and human trafficking.

Their Employment Plus Service worked with over 7,500 people, offering support, coaching and training. Their 12 residential care homes provided over 400 beds for older people needing care. They served millions of food parcels and meals to hungry people during the pandemic. Their emergency vehicles responded to over 350 callouts. Over 600 local churches across the country, supporting local communities.

For these, and many other reasons is why I'm undertaking this marathon run, and hopefully the first of many marathons in the future.

Please be generous when donating.

God bless you!
