Story
I am taking part in the Men's Health Survival of the Fittest in Manchester on the 9th of Novemeber as a Team to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones (nerves), in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting.
MND can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and ultimately breathe.
5 people within the UK die each day from MND, and a further 5 are diagnosed. The average life expectancy from onset of symptoms is just 14 months.
There is currently no cure for MND and it can affect any of us, at anytime.
The Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDa) is the only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland that funds and promotes global research into the disease and provides support for people affected by MND.
So please dig deep and donate now.
