Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to read my page.
I am very proud to have been asked by MS-UK to set myself the amazing challenge to raise funds and awareness for MS by running the 26.219 miles for the virgin London marathon on Sunday 22nd April 2018.
MS (Multiple sclerosis) is a condition that effects 100'000 people in the U.K. The condition attacks the central nerve system, brain and spinal cord. Symptoms of MS can be extreme fatigue, violent headaches, Mobility problems, pain, muscle spasms, vision disturbance, low immune system.
At this point in my life I am happy, I am fit, healthy and have a beautiful family. I am blessed however I have watched 2 very close people to me suffer with the effects of MS. One is my step dad Paul who was diagnosed with MS in 2014. Paul is a kind generous person & I have watched him show amazing strength when the harsh symptoms of MS flare up. Pauls strength is remarkable and he continues to be supportive to all his family as well as being fantastic step grandfather to both my sons.
I also have a lovely friend called David who's beautiful wife Jenny also was diagnosed with MS. Jenny visits an amazing support centre ran by MS chairity who make sure each MS sufferer has choices, control, independence.
These centres couldn't continue without kind donations from people like you and me and I ask you from my heart to please make a donation to help raise money to keep these centres going, to help make a difference to someone who has had their life changed dramatically as well as their families who also need the support from these amazing volunteers.
I hope by running the London marathon I can make a difference to someone's life out there no matter how big or small.
Thank you for your help
Shaun
