We fund care, campaigning and research to achieve a world free from MND

Story

Cara-Beth Grimshaw, Gaby Balmer, Amanda Burgess, Saffron Slinger, Betty Hill, Alafiyah Zahabi, Jason Smith, Helen Young and myself will be completing the 22 mile Charity walk!

The team will be lead  from Royal Preston Hospital to Marks & Spencers in Burnley the total distance is 22 miles. The walk takes place on the 29th of September. This is the fourth year we have organised this walk last year we raised just under £10,000. MND is such a cruel terrible disease which is fatal and has no known cure; leaving people unable to walk, talk, or feed themselves. MND affects up to 5,000 adults in the UK at any one time. This means it is considered a relatively rare disease. Funds raised will be divided between the Motor Neurones Disease Association for Research and The MND Care Centre for education, research and monitoring equipment.

A special thank you to Lloyds BMW in Colne for once again agreeing to provide food and drink for 50% of the walkers along with a lovely BMW support vehicle. Also Graham Engineering based in Colne also for providing the other 50% of food and drink for our walkers for the second year running. A big thank you to the Burnley branch of M&S who have made our Care Centre new charity their charity of the year this year. Thank you all who continue to support us and those that have donated in the past and continue to do so.
