Event: The Big Oxford Shave, on 2 May 2020
We know that some of our supporters want to do their own thing, and were lucky that people organise all sorts of incredible events to support The Trussell Trust.

Story

Sharry and Lucy both decided they wanted to do something to help the most vulnerable during the Coronavirus outbreak and create a lasting memory from the lockdown period. They decided to join forces and support each other as they agree to shave off all their hair and raise as much money as possible for The Trussell Trust. The impact of the Covid-19 coronavirus will place additional financial pressures on families who are already struggling to get by and therefore pushing the most at risk and vulnerable further into the grip of poverty. Now more than ever food banks need our support. Many across the UK are being forced to close or reduce the service they offer as the coronavirus outbreak leads to a decline in volunteers and a shortage in food donations. This is a challenging time for us all and as a nation we should take on responsibility to look after each other, particularly our most vulnerable groups. We know times are hard so please give what you can to help those who really need it right now.
