Story
On 29 June 2014 I shall be cycling 48 miles around the leafy green lanes of Worcestershire as part of the British Heart Foundation's Worcestershire Bike Ride 2014. While 48 miles may not sound much to those lycra-clad cyclists amongst you, this will be my longest ride to date. Back in February, 48 miles seemed an impossible task, given that I was 4 stone over-weight, had only started riding again and was struggling to get up hills! Over the past months I have been cycling further and faster, beating those hills, learning all about the joys of cold baths and chaffing, improving my fitness and losing weight by #leavingthelardontheroad.
Your donation will help encourage me to continue my training, finish the ride and support the work of the BHF. So please have a rummage down the back of the sofa. With every Tom, Dick and Harry raising funds for umpteen good causes, I am only looking to raise a modest £240 (48 miles at £5/mile), and yes I will be counting those fivers as I cycle each mile!!!
Anyway, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
