Story
On 17th September 2021 Christopher Greenhough and I (Team Moonlighters), will be entering into the spirit of supporting Maggies by walking/crawling and quite literally dragging each other as far as we can on a cultural crawl around Nottingham. That said, we really do need your help and support. We know times are tough but any donation received will be put to such good use by Maggies.
Having both experienced the journey and both being recently declared cancer free, we feel very, very, grateful to all those concerned during our individual journeys and extremely lucky.
Chris has gone through bowel cancer, involving hours' of surgery followed by chemo and a lengthy period of rehabilitation which is ongoing . I received a HER2 breast cancer diagnosis and following surgery, will have undergone two and a half years' of treatment which will virtually come to an end on 1st November 2021. We both felt that with your help, we wanted to do something to help others going through their journey and to also support their families. By helping to raise funds for Maggies we know that the support needed will be there.
One in two of us will unfortunately get cancer and the result of a cancer diagnosis emotionally, physicallly and financially can be extremely hard. Being diagnosed with cancer has an affect, not just on the person concerned but their family and friends' and ongoing assistance is often required. Maggies is there with all the information and support needed for everyone. However, in order to do this Maggies needs to raise funds. Please help, no matter how small, every penny really does count.
At one of the toughest times Maggies door is open, if you need a chat, a coffee, financial or emotional support, there will be someone to talk to. Please help Maggies to continue being there by giving what you can afford.
