I was moved to tears by the struggle that Puerto Rico sloth rescue is undergoing right now without tourists visiting to support the cause. Baby Sloths need powdered goat milk and medicines until they can eat leaves and veggies but the forests are fast disappearing fast. Power lines that kill them need to be insulated; air tunnels need to be built; tracking collars fixed for return to the wild. And there is a need for local education combined with action that brings separate rescue groups together to share knowledge and create lasting environmental change.
