Story
Hi Everyone,
Three months ago I had not even heard of "Nephrotic Syndrome" - it came as a complete shock that my healthy 25 year old son, Jarrod, became ill and was diagnosed with this condition out of the blue. Nephrotic Syndrome is a disease of the kidneys - there is NO CURE (at the moment). More medical research is needed.
NeST is a recognised charity aimed at raising funds towards research to FIND A CURE for Nephrotic Syndrome. Their research is funded entirely by donations and every penny goes directly to the trust, you can be confident that when you donate you are making a huge difference to the well-being of thousands of people managing Nephrotic Syndrome every day of their lives - hoping that one day there WILL BE A CURE.
My husband, Neil, is hoping to raise funds for NeST by walking the Pennine Way - a massive 268 miles in total!! He sets off on 5th August, the walk should take around 14 days to complete (and that is going at it). I will keep you updated along the way of his progress.
For those of you that know Jarrod, he is doing well at the moment and responding to the treatment.
Any small donation is gratefully received. I have created this page to raise awareness and to try to raise funds for a charity now close to my heart.
Thank you
Sharon, Jarrod and Neil
