Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm doing a tandem skydive from 15,000ft to raise money for Bradford's children's charity One in a Million (see www.oneinamillion.org.uk). I'm passionate about giving children and young people a chance - and encouraging them to shine. That's why I'm taking on this (terrifying!) challenge to help One in a Million carry on their work. One In a Million is a Bradford-based charity, providing sports, arts, education and enterprise programmes to children and young people, mainly from disadvantaged backgrounds (many live in the top 1% of the most deprived areas of the UK). One in a Million help them to break through barriers of deprivation and inequality in order to achieve their full potential. Through my work at Provident Financial, I've been involved in the provision of funding to OIAM and I've seen first hand the impact that they make. Meeting some of the children who have benefited from the love and support they receive from One in a Million is truly heart-warming, and that's why I'm doing this.
Am I terrified? Absolutely. Is this the scariest thing I've ever done? Absolutely. Will it be worth it? No doubt about it. So please help me raise as much as possible for this fantastic charity, who help children to feel like they really are one in a million. My fundraising will also be matched up to £500 by Provident. I'm paying for the skydive myself, so every penny you donate will go to One in a Million. Thank you!
Latest Child poverty figures show that over 19,000 children in Bradford live below the poverty line. One in a Million is committed to improving the lives of these children & young people, many of whom are from some of the most deprived areas in the UK.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT!
