I will be walking 13 miles in the Ayrshire Hospice Silver Star Walk to raise some much needed funds to support the work they do providing second to none care for people in our local community suffering from any life limiting illnesses, including cancer, neurological conditions, end stage heart failure and lung disease.  

I have had the opportunity to see the care that they provide to in patients first hand and can honestly say that this is a cause worth donating to. The Ayrshire Hospice touches the lives of many people within Ayrshire every year and I'm sure everyone knows of someone who has received care from the Hospice be that in their own home, hospital, care homes, or within their in patient unit or day care facility.

The Hospice services are free of charge to patients. The on going cost of the services is £6.9 million annually and of this £4.4 must be raised by donations from the public.
