Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Well, WE DID IT!

Skydive completed and between myself and Rachel I'm proud to say we have raised over £800 and we are still raising!

Feel free to watch the video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFoiiPrrD40

The skydive was both terrifying and incredible!! An amazing day and Rachel really would have made her Mum proud. We jumped from 14,000FT and had approx 45 seconds in free fall before opening the canopy at 5,000FT.

I want to say a massive thank you to all of those who have donated! Your support means so much to me and to Rachel.

For those who are visiting the page for the first time, you may not know the story behind this but here goes:

I met my gorgeous half sister for the first time last October. She was 15 at the time. Unfortunately we met under pretty grim circumstances - her mum had recently past away due to cancer.

In her memory Rachel decided to do a skydive in aid of MacMillan cancer support which I went to Nottingham to witness... unfortunately due to poor weather it had to be rescheduled. Rachel was worried about doing another one herself so I suggested she ask someone else to do it with her... yep, she asked me.

So, in memory of my beautiful sister's Mum as well as all the people we know who have been affected by cancer, we jumped out of a perfectly good plane on Friday the 2nd of July just after midday

Rachel is an incredibly strong young woman, and I'm sure her mum is so proud.

If you can, please sponsor as much as you can afford for this cause. Every little bit will make a huge difference.

MacMillan Cancer Support make a huge difference to many peoples lives,  they improve the lives of those affected by cancer by doing everything from funding nursing staff to look after patients at home, to providing practical help such as taking the pressure off of a carer for a few hours, or giving the patient a lift to the hospital. Please help us support this great organisation. Find out more here: http://www.macmillan.org.uk

Thank you all

Sharon (& Rachel)
