Story
I know mad as a hatter here I go again...
Yep, it's me again...You would be correct in thinking one marathon's enough for anyone, and you'd be right, it is...well, except if you're me! I really thought after last year's heat I would never attempt the London Marathon or any marathon ever again. However, I'm going to give it one last shot for Macmillan Cancer Support before I hang up my running shoes and make use of my recently acquired SPT bus pass :)
The training is hard and takes over your life...You train 5 days out of 7 to try and avoid being picked up by the sweeper bus on the day of the main event :(
Recently, on a trip to Belfast to see family and friends, I was so concerned about missing my training schedule that I got off the plane at 9:30am and was running along the beautiful County Down coast by 10:40am, for the next 2 hours and 15 minutes! (Photographic evidence provided above!) Yes, I got lost and ended up doing 11 miles instead of the planned 6!
But the training is down to me and I'm giving it my best shot. Where I need your help is with the fundraising for this worthwhile and important charity.
I fully appreciate the demands on your hard earned ££££ but would be very grateful if you could help me reach my target of £2,500.
All contributions are very gratefully received.
Thank you so much x
