Story
My lovely mum passed away from Pancreatic Cancer in 2011. She suffered greatly in the last few years of her life as her cancer wasn't diagnosed until shortly before she passed away and as a result the quality of her life was not what it should have been. This is not uncommon when it comes to pancreatic cancer and my reason for doing this trek is to help raise much needed funds to help with early diagnosis for others. My parents spent a big chunk of their lives in Hong Kong so doing the Great Wall Trek for Hope makes a link with them and makes sense to me.
I have actually promised to raise just over £2,000 for Pancreatic Cancer UK but I am aiming extremely high and want to more. My target is £3,000. Between now and October I will arrange some fund-raising events that I hope many of you will feel able to participate in - so watch this space! If you can't, I would be so grateful if you would just sponsor me as, and when you can.
